CEO Randy Heath

Randy Heath established Heath Strategic Solutions to help school districts, nonprofits and other organizations improve systems to maximize results.

Randy is an accomplished Senior Level Leader, having held leadership positions in school districts in Washington for the past 20+ years.

Randy is ready to assist organizations in a variety of ways however his specialties are in executive coaching, strategic planning, and systems improvement.

ASSOCIATE SUPERINTENDENT Kent School District 2021–2024

Executive cabinet member of a diverse, urban district serving 26,000 students, approximately 4,000 employees, and a $500M+ annual budget. Contributed big-picture vision for the organization. Coached, supervised, and provided oversight of multiple executive directors and programs. Civil Rights Officer (Title IX, Discrimination, ADA) proactively addressing individual and systemic issues of discrimination and inequities. Regularly collaborated with nonprofit and municipal partners. Closely worked with members of the school board to enact board priorities.

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, STUDENT AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES Kent School District 2014–2021

    Executive oversight of directors, and millions in federal and state categorical dollars to support students emotionally and academically. Collaborated with principals on discipline, attendance, crisis support and threat assessment. Ensured compliance with state and federal regulations. Created the district’s first comprehensive plan to implement multi-tiered systems of support and developed a program that successfully reengaged hundreds of students who had left the system.

    DIRECTOR OF STUDENT SERVICES AND SUPERVISION Kelso School District 2011–2014

    Executive cabinet of a 5,000-student district. Creation of the district’s strategic plan, Oversight of district-wide student services, supervised half of the principals, and the Youth Services School, operating out of the Cowlitz County Juvenile Detention Center. Led the work of the district equity committee as Civil Rights Coordinator. Represented the district on several governmental and community committees. Instrumental in the creation of a comprehensive K-12 counseling and guidance plan.

    PRINCIPAL Kelso School District 2005–2011

    Principal of a 600-student middle school serving grades 6-8. Brought stability to staffing, leadership style, and integration of new grades. Collaboratively developed and led staff professional development opportunities in the areas of curriculum alignment, PLCs, differentiation, and assessment. Utilized key metrics to evaluate effectiveness of current strategies and programs. Presented with an Achievement Award by the state of Washington, for improvement in math and identified as Lighthouse School for above average performance of students identifying as Native American. Elected president of the Association of Middle Level Principals for the state of Washington.

    LEADERSHIP CAMP DIRECTOR Association of Washington Student Leaders 1996-Present

    Director of Chinook Middle Level Leadership camp for over 20 years. Chinook is a week-long residential leadership camp for approximately 200 middle school aged students from across the state of Washington. Collaborated with other leaders in the program to revise the leadership curriculum of all camps to better create equitable leadership and supporting social emotional learning standards. Facilitated regional leadership events for middle school students.
